五局上，統一首棒打者陳重羽擊出二壘穿越安打上壘，七棒許哲晏成功犧牲短打護送陳重羽上到二壘，八棒何恆佑擊出右外野飛球出局，跑者趁傳上到三壘，九棒林靖凱右外野飛球出局，王維中守住失分危機，前五局打完形成投手戰，雙方雖有零星攻勢，但都未能拿下分數。
六局上，王維中續投，遇到統一獅猛攻，面對首棒打者林佳緯投出三振後，二棒邱智呈擊出中外野平飛一壘安打，三棒陳傑憲遭到觸身球保送後，四棒陳重廷擦棒被捕遭到三振，味全更換投手銳歐，但未能有效壓制，五棒林安可中外野平飛安打先送回邱智呈先馳得點，六棒陳重羽串連右外野安打，再送回陳傑憲，統一取得2：0領先，味全再度更換投手陳禹勳，面對許哲晏投出觸身球保送，形成滿壘，八棒何恆佑擊出中外野飛球，留下滿壘殘壘。
七局下，統一獅更換投手尹柏淮，七棒郭天信先擊出界外飛球遭到接殺，八棒林孝程擊出外野一壘安打，九棒張政禹左外野飛球出局後，一棒李凱威擊出右外野二壘安打，林孝程回到本壘幫助味全追回一分，二棒吉力吉撈・鞏冠擊出左外野二分打點逆轉全壘打，味全龍首度取得超前 2:3 。
八九兩局，味全分別派上陳冠偉及林凱威，統一打者未能再擊出安打，終場味全就以2:3 拿下本場比賽勝利，擊出逆轉全壘打的吉力吉撈・鞏冠也拿下本場MVP。
